Description

The peach a book was written about. Suncrest is the variety from David Mas Masumoto's celebrated “Epitaph for a Peach” — which he called one of the last truly juicy peaches. Blazing orange-red colour, rich aroma and late flowering that dodges the spring frosts.

Botanical name Prunus persica ‘Suncrest’ (USA)
Fruit Large; yellow with blazing red skin; freestone
Taste Exceptionally juicy, sweet, richly aromatic
Pollination Self-pollinating — one tree is enough
Harvest 10–25 July
Blooming Late to very late — dodges spring frosts; frost-hardy flower buds
Cold hardiness Down to -26°C (USDA zone 5–8)
Uses Fresh, compotes, jam
Watering Regular during ripening — that's when the juiciness builds
Sapling Grafted on GF 677; 80–130 cm tall; bare-root or container
Delivery 2–5 business days (Bulgaria); 4–7 days (Romania)

💡 Nursery tip: Suncrest is a variety for eating straight off the tree, not for shipping — which is exactly why you won't find it in the shop, and exactly why it's worth having in your own yard.

🍑 What to expect: the first fruit usually comes in the 2nd–3rd year after planting.
“Health & Bloom™” Guarantee — the sapling arrives carefully packed and ready to plant.
