Description

The perfect balance of sweet and tart. The New Zealand variety Braeburn is a benchmark for flavour — likely a chance seedling of Granny Smith: a dense, crunchy and aromatic apple with a distinctive two-tone skin that you pick in late autumn.

Botanical name Malus domestica ‘Braeburn’
Fruit Medium-large to large, oval; yellow base with a red-pink blush
Taste Sweet-tart, aromatic, crunchy
Pollination Self-fertile (group 4) — fruits on its own; the harvest increases with a pollinator nearby, e.g. Golden Delicious
Harvest October–November
Uses Fresh, salads, juice
Cold hardiness Down to -29°C (USDA zone 4–8)
Sun & soil Full sun; well-drained soil, pH 6.0–7.0
Sapling Grafted on M9/MM106; height 80–130 cm; bare-root or container
Delivery 2–5 business days (Bulgaria); 4–7 days (Romania)

💡 Nursery tip: Braeburn fruits on its own. If you have the space, plant its likely parent nearby — Granny Smith: the two varieties pollinate each other and tell a family story in your garden.

🍎 What to expect: the first fruit usually arrives in the 2nd–3rd year after planting.
“Health & Bloom™” Guarantee — the sapling arrives carefully packed and ready to plant.
